The Philharmonie has disclosed suspicious bank transactions that were recently detected as part of internal controls.

A number of suspicious transfers, with a total value of around €160,000, were identified, according to a press release the Philharmonie sent out on Monday evening.

As soon as the incidents came to light, management took the necessary measures and reported the matter to the relevant authorities, the statement went on.

In that context, the Philharmonie is working closely with the authorities to clear the case up as quickly as possible and to establish any potential responsibilities.

In parallel, an external review of the financial control procedures is under way, in order to identify any weaknesses and take the necessary steps.

The Luxembourg Philharmonie will not comment further on the matter at this stage, so as not to stand in the way of the ongoing investigations.

The Philharmonie’s activities will continue as normal.
