This assessment comes following the CNFP’s analysis of the government’s stability and growth programme for the years 2024 to 2027. According to the CNFP, the government is basing its projections on outdated figures provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC), while newer data is now available.
The CNFP points out that all EU member states are required to use the latest available figures for their economic assessments.
Additionally, the CNFP noted that Luxembourg’s authorities are expected to continue running a budget deficit in the coming years.
