Gender workplace equality 257 years away: WEFThe Geneva-based organisation's annual report tracks disparities between the sexes in 153 countries across four areas: education, health, economic opportunity and political empowerment.

Luxembourg climbed 10 spots in overall ranking - but still room for improvement

Luxembourg has climbed ten spots in the global gender gap ranking, currently occupying the 51st place on the overall ranking. Iceland, Norway, Finland, and Sweden topped the ranking while Pakistan, Iraq and Yemen came last. Luxembourg's position is synonymous with 17th place if we only consider Western Europe and North America.

The Grand Duchy performed better in the Educational Attainment area, taking the 18th place. Australia, Austria, and the Bahamas lead the pack in this section.

The country meanwhile came 91st in the Health and Survival and 66th in Political Empowerment sections, which implies that there is still room for improvement.
