As announced by the government late on Friday morning, Luxembourg Airport in Findel closed for an hour between 12 pm and 1 pm.
The airport required 'urgent reparation work' on its runway lights. The authorities did not expect a large amount of disruption to occur, as the air traffic was not expected to be busy at this time. The runway has since reopened at 1pm as scheduled.
