CoronavirusLong Covid patients and their challenging way to recovery

RTL Today
The majority of people who contracted Covid-19 fully recovered from the infection in a short period of time. Others, however, have suffered from aftereffects for considerably longer, a condition now commonly known as 'Long Covid'.

For the past 18 months, the National Health Fund (CNS) has financed a recovery programme for affected patients. About 1,000 people suffering from Long Covid are currently being treated in Luxembourg, this at the CHNP in Ettelbruck, the Domaine Thermal in Mondorf-les-Bains, and the Kirchberg rehabilitation centre, among other places.

One aspect of the condition that is becoming increasingly apparent is that with 63% of cases, women seem more prone to be affected by Long Covid. Currently 240 of the 1,000 patients have completed their treatment and report significant progress.

The video report below shows our colleagues from RTL, who recently paid a visit to some of the people recovering from Long Covid.
