80 out of 330 employees at Saint-Paul are affected by a redundancy programme. After two rounds of negotiations, however, the LCGB union has called for clear guaranties and promises for no employee to lose their job.

The LCGB has also requested an emergency meeting with the Ministry of Labour.

Finally, the LCGB appeals to the responsibility of the former longstanding owner - the Archdiocese of Luxembourg - to assume its social responsibility towards the staff of the Saint-Paul Group by making a substantial investment in the training and reorientation plan of the social plan.

Such a commitment is absolutely necessary since, when Mediahuis took over the group, the archbishopric had failed to agree on existential safeguards for the group's staff, LCGB communicates.
