Luxembourg police responded to an armed robbery at a Boulevard Royal shop on Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, an individual entered the establishment brandishing a knife and demanded money from the till.
When staff refused to comply, the suspect proceeded behind the counter and stole two cigarette packets. One employee sustained minor injuries while attempting to intervene. The perpetrator then fled the scene, grabbing a bottle of alcohol on the way out.
Police conducted a rapid investigation that led to the suspect’s apprehension. Officers recovered the knife used in the robbery. The individual remains in custody and will face judicial proceedings.
