Luxembourg CityKleeschen met with children, handed out chocolate on Sunday
On Sunday afternoon, Saint Nicholas, known in Luxembourg as 'Kleeschen', handed out chocolates and sweets to well-behaved children in the capital.
Two days ahead of Kleeserchersdag, Saint Nicholas paid a visit to Luxembourg City and handed out the first treats of the season. A long queue of children was waiting patiently to shake hands with the iconic patron saint and hopefully avoid a flick from his equally famous sidekick Housécker.

Scouts from Gasperich and Bonnevoie were at the scene to lend a helping hand. Some handed out chocolate, others sang festive songs.
Though Kleeserchersdag will take place on 6 December, children can still participate in daily festive workshops, set up in the court of the former Athenée school next to the Notre-Dame Cathedral, until 23 December.
