The group explained that Kinepolis was "closely monitoring the situation regarding the spread of Covid-19 and is in close collaboration with the relevant authorities with regard to customer and employee protection measures."
The three Luxembourg multiplex cinemas will be closed from Saturday 14 March until 31 March included.
Customers who have already purchased a ticket online will be contacted by email. People who bought a cinema ticket in advance at a cash desk can consult compensation methods on the Kinepolis website.
This includes concerts, cultural events, exhibitions. Theatres, libraries, museums, and the Conservatoire will close their doors for at least two weeks. Organisers are working on postponing the events. As a reminder, all events over 100 people (indoors) or 500 people (outdoors) are banned.
