Contrary to Josep Borell, the EU's high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Jean Asselborn seems critical over the unexpected rapprochement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
He believes the treaty between both nations can be linked to a shared fear of Iran and that it shows how the Sunnis in the region prioritise this fight over solidarity with Palestine.
