RTL Today
Around 300 people marched through Luxembourg City on Saturday, braving heavy rain to denounce the war in Gaza and call for international sanctions against Israel.

Protest organisers said that despite heavy rain, nearly 300 people gathered Saturday, 2 July, in the streets of Luxembourg City to denounce what they described as ongoing genocide and the deliberate starvation of the Palestinian population in Gaza. Protesters called for immediate international sanctions.

Organised by the Collectifs pour la Palestine, the demonstration began on Boulevard Roosevelt and moved towards Place de Paris, with chants demanding an end to genocide, sanctions against Israel, the lifting of the siege and famine, and the liberation of Palestine.

Participants called on Luxembourg and the European Union to take concrete action and sent a message that Luxembourg’s civil society refuses to be complicit through silence.

The demonstration was not only a gesture of solidarity, but also a demand for accountability and strong international measures.

The march forms part of a growing wave of mobilisation across Europe and around the world, calling for an end to the siege of Gaza and justice for the Palestinian people.
