Items stolen included computers, mobile phones, game consoles, designer clothes and video games.

Five stock keepers and a subcontracted driver were arrested by the judicial police at the beginning of October on suspicion of having carried out repeated thefts at the Bettembourg DPD depot. The story was revealed by L’Essentiel and was confirmed by the public prosecutor’s office.

The packages concerned amounted to a value between €650,000 and a million euros, destined for customers in Luxembourg and Belgium. The damage is considerable.

The alleged thieves were well-organised, targeting parcels in the warehouse and changing post codes. They acknowledged their involvement in the crime before being fired by DPD.
