Officials took a set of drastic measures to help in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Officials hope to reduce social activity in order to shield the elderly and other vulnerable members of society from the virus threat. We asked around in Luxembourg City to get an impression of how the public feels about the current situation.

Note: the interviews were conducted on Friday 13 March - the number of confirmed infections has since jumped to 77 (Sunday evening). We can only reiterate that the situation should be taken seriously. Minister of Health Paulette Lenert stressed this Friday that “the virus has arrived,” adding that the situation is starting to be “critical” and “unprecedented.”
