Officials hope to reduce social activity in order to shield the elderly and other vulnerable members of society from the virus threat. Note: the interviews were conducted on Friday 13 March - the number of confirmed infections has since jumped to 77 (Sunday evening). We can only reiterate that the situation should be taken seriously. Minister of Health Paulette Lenert stressed this Friday that “the virus has arrived,” adding that the situation is starting to be “critical” and “unprecedented.”
