Luxembourg CityHousehold waste and recycling update

RTL Today
On Wednesday morning, the Luxembourg City hygiene service issued an update concerning waste collection and recycling.

According to the statement, the collection of household waste, biodegradable waste, glass, paper/cardboard and Valorlux will continue until further notice.

However, recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, glass, old clothes and batteries can be placed in recycling containers at 65 public collection points. Residents and visitors are requested to respect the instructions concerning these collection points and not to deposit materials next to the containers. The Hygiene Department will ensure regular emptying of the containers.

The SuperDrecksKëscht mobile and door-to-door collections planned for this week are cancelled and citizens are asked not to deposit the waste in question outside of their home or in public spaces.

The recycling centre facilities at Route d'Arlon are currently closed until further notice.

The Hygiene Service remains available to the public for any questions from Monday to Friday (8am to 4pm) by phone (4796-3640) and email (hygiene@vdl.lu).
