The tower stands around 35 metres and is linked to the walkway via a 40-metre bridge. The walkway was constructed in September 2024.
The lift in the tower can transport 20-24 people, or three cyclists and seven pedestrians. It opens at 6am and closes at 11.30pm. The stairs are always accessible to the public.
The project cost around 7.5 million euros to build. A number of circumstances, including the war in Ukraine, impacted the construction of the lift, making it a significantly more expensive (and delayed) project than anticipated.
The Hesperange municipal website has further information on the project, including images of the inauguration and documents relating to the individual construction phases of the Holleschbierg lift.
