Luxembourg authorities dealt with several notable incidents between Tuesday evening and Wednesday, according to official police reports.
On Tuesday evening in Esch-sur-Alzette, officers observed a suspicious vehicle on Rue d’Audun abruptly change direction upon noticing police presence. During the subsequent stop, checks revealed both occupants lacked valid residence permits and were in possession of fake driving licences and counterfeit cash. Authorities impounded the vehicle as part of their investigation.
Later that night in Schieren, a standard traffic control uncovered narcotics violations when officers initially spotted a small quantity of heroin. A thorough vehicle search yielded additional heroin and cocaine supplies. Police arrested the driver, who later appeared before an examining magistrate.
