According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps report, a heated blanket had started the fire.
Fire fighters from Esch-sur-Sûre, Upper Sûre Lake, Alebësch (Heiderscheid) and Wiltz were on site as well as the Wiltz ambulance.
