Henri Albert Gabriel Félix Marie Guillaume was born at the Betzdorf castle on 16 April 1955. He is the oldest son of former Grand Ducal Couple Jean and Joséphine-Charlotte.
Henri became Grand Duke of Luxembourg after his father’s abdication on 7 October 2000. His full title is Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Duke of Nassau, Count of Sayn, Königstein, Katzenelnbogen and Diez, Burgrave of Hammerstein, Lord of Mahlberg, Wiesbaden, Idstein, Merenberg, Limburg and Eppstein.
