The idea to call the rose Europa Donna has a symbolic reason and it was inspired by the eponymous non-profit organisation Europa Donna Luxembourg. It is an organisation which supports women that are suffering or have suffered from breast cancer.
After several years of work and thanks to a collaboration between Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn, Kordes Rosen and Europa Donna Luxembourg, this rose intends to deliver a strong message of solidarity, courage and hope.
Every individual knows at least one person affected by breast cancer, thus it is important to keep up this support system. In this spirit, this rose supports the work of Europa Donna as an ambassador in the fight against breast cancer and symbolises medical care and hope.
