Text message scamGovernment warns of latest phishing messages

RTL Today
Over the past few weeks, Luxembourg residents have reported a number of scam text messages purporting to be from public institutions such as the national alert system LU-Alert, the National Health Fund (CNS) and social security (CCSS).

The government has therefore issued advice to recipients, warning against clicking on any links included within the scam text messages. Recipients should immediately delete the message and report it to the relevant authority.

In general, people should never give out confidential information in response to text messages, emails, chats or phone calls.
