A police patrol was made aware of a couple having a blazing row in the Grund district of the capital on Monday evening.
Officers approached the couple at around 8.20pm and discovered the woman was in fact on the run after escaping from the open prison in Givenich, with a nationwide warrant out for her arrest. It is not clear how long the woman had been a fugitive.
Following a medical examination, the woman’s arrest was confirmed and she was returned to prison, this time in Schrassig.
