
Shortly after 5pm on Tuesday, two people were hit by a motorist on Route de Luxembourg in Dudelange. Both were injured in the process. Emergency services from Dudelange and Kayl were deployed to the scene.
At 5.24pm, another person was injured after being knocked down by a vehicle. This accident happened on Route d’Ettelbruck in Ingeldorf and drew responses from emergency services from Nordstad and Ingeldorf. Diekirch police are seeking witnesses to the incident, and have encouraged anyone with information to help establish the circumstances leading to the collision to contact them on (+352) 244 80 1000 or via email at police.diekirchvianden@police.etat.lu.
And a fourth individual suffered injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Rue de Colmar-Berg in Mersch. Local emergency services were sent to the scene, as were teams from Lintgen.
Police also reported a drunk-driving incident. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a vehicle was stopped by a police patrol after driving across the tram rails near the Luxembourg City central train station before turning down Avenue Marie Thérèse. The driver, who was visibly intoxicated, ended up having their licence confiscated on the spot.
