Four new cardiologists have joined Ettelbruck hospital over the past few months, after the announcement last September that six doctors intended to resign from the CHdN.
Dr Jean-Marc Cloos, medical director at Ettelbruck, told RTL that the first of the new recruits had joined in December to act as coordinator for a new group of cardiology specialists. Earlier this week, the hospital signed agreements with three further cardiologists.
“I think it’s good to have a minimum of four doctors to ensure continuity of care with 30 on-call services per month, which we now have. Now we must check with the group to see if the four specialists will be sufficient, or if we need one or two more. There are several candidates we have not yet considered, so if the group agrees that we need more, this will be decided at a later date.”
