The incident took place in Livange on Thursday morning. A home alarm sounded on Rue de Peppange as two of the burglars headed to the front of those. Their two accomplices waited for them, likely keeping a watchful eye on the area.
Splitting up into groups of two, the would-be burglars took off on foot. A witness saw the suspects and alerted the police, telling officers that the suspects were heading towards Crauthem and Bettembourg. The police, in return, requested additional patrols and police dogs to track the burglars.
The operation was a successful one: all four suspects were arrested following the order of the public prosecutor's office. They faced a judge on Friday.
