As announced by the Ministry of Mobility on Tuesday, the fixed speed camera, positioned on the CR181 at the entrance to Bereldange, will initiate its testing period starting 14 June 2023. The speed limit in the town is 50 km/h.

This particular fixed speed camera will monitor the speed of vehicles traveling in both directions.

The ministry clarifies that a deduction of 3 km/h (for speeds below 100 km/h) and 3% (for speeds above 100 km/h) will be subtracted from the recorded values to account for potential measurement discrepancies.

The moment when the speed camera will be officially operational, i.e., the start of the enforcement phase, will be communicated “in due course.”

At the beginning of December, three new speed cameras were introduced in Hollerich, with the primary objective of reducing the number of serious and fatal accidents.
