
Two vehicles collided violently on Tuesday in eastern Luxembourg, with the impact throwing car parts a considerable distance from the road.
The crash occurred on the CR137 at around 1.30pm between Berbourg and Manternach, according to information obtained by RTL. Five people were treated by emergency services and two vehicles were damaged.
Under the force of the impact, one of the vehicles was propelled into vegetation at the side of the road, while the other came to a halt some 60 metres further along. One wheel, torn off in the collision, was found in a field nearly 40 metres from the scene of the accident.
According to police, five people were treated by emergency services and taken to hospital. The road was closed to traffic.
