The first driver was caught on the A13 motorway. Officers became alerted when they observed the car driving in zigzag while entering the motorway and stopped the driver soon after. The alcohol test came back positive.

Around three o’clock in the afternoon, the police conducted several routine controls on Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Esch-sur-Alzette. One person stood out by speeding and being under the influence of alcohol.

Around the same time, an accident was reported on Rue du Pain in Sandweiler. A driver had crashed his car into the staircase of a building and then fled the scene. However, a witness wrote down the license plate, and officers found the man standing next to his damaged car in the driveway of his home soon after. The alcohol test was positive.

Around one o’clock in the morning, a police patrol witnessed a car driving in zigzag on Boulevard F.D. Roosevelt in the capital. Aside from being intoxicated, the driver also lacked proper registration papers.

At half past four in the morning, the police stopped a driver in Troisvierges who had hauled the engine of his car several times and driven at elevated speed across town. The alcohol test came back positive.

In all five cases, police revoked the driving licenses.
