A house fire was reported in the Grand Rue in Bergem on Sunday evening at 5.26pm. Firefighters attended to the home, but luckily no one was injured in the incident. The resulting material damage, however, is very high.
A field in Rippweiler caught fire due to the extreme heat over the weekend. Small bushes also burned down in Cents and in Pétange.
The CGDIS urges people not to litter glass bottles or cigarette butts in nature, as the high temperatures can quickly spark a dangerous fire.
