A man has been arrested and brought before an examining magistrate after a garden shed was set alight in Esch-sur-Alzette in the early hours of Sunday morning. A witness who reported the fire was also able to describe a suspicious individual believed to have started it. Officers quickly located a man matching the description and arrested him that same afternoon.

At around 10pm on Sunday, police were alerted to a brawl between two men in the Gare district of Luxembourg City. Both were found to be intoxicated. As they posed a danger to themselves, they were taken to a sobering-up cell following a medical examination, where they spent the night.

At around 7.30am on Monday, a police patrol stopped a driver behaving suspiciously. The man was taken to the station, where a breath test confirmed he was intoxicated. He was also already subject to a provisional driving ban. Officers drew up a report and seized the vehicle.
