
The operation was a joint effort between the police, the Ministry for Mobility and Public Works, the National Society of Automotive Traffic (SNCA), as well as the Technical Authority of the German State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
According to a police statement, officers found 90 infringements across 300 vehicles. A team of 43 police officers were at the scene and checked the vehicles for illegal modifications. They issued 83 fines ranging between €24 and €145.
Furthermore, authorities immobilised two vehicles and seized another five for lacking valid registration papers that indicate completed modifications.
