RTL interviewFélix Braz on path to recovery, says François Bausch

RTL Today
Deputy Prime Minister Bausch made an appearance on RTL Radio on Christmas Eve to discuss recent political events.

Among the topics discussed was Etienne Schneider's recent announcement that he would be stepping down in February 2020. Bausch defended Schneider's decision, and pointed out projects such as the legalisation of cannabis, or the Google data centre would be dealt with by the government as a whole.

The Minister of Internal Security also said he did not believe the tripartite coalition would fall apart. Bausch maintained he did not plan on staying in government beyond 2023 but confirmed he would see out his mandate to the end. He said he could not say if he would stand in future elections, as he had not yet decided on his own future as an MP. He added that he did not believe in participating in elections just for the sake of gathering votes.

On a positive note, Bausch imparted the news that former deputy Prime Minister Félix Braz was recovering well after his heart attack in August. Although the journey to full health would be long, Braz was doing well.
