At 7.30pm on Tuesday, emergency services from Redange and Useldange were called to a presumed accident on the road between latter town and Buschdorf. However, at the scene responders only found a smartphone, which had triggered an automatic alarm. As it later turned out, the phone had been dropped out of a driving vehicle, which caused it to trigger its alarm, meaning there was actually no accident.

One person was injured as a pedestrian was hit by a car on Route d’Arlon in Mamer at 7pm on Tuesday.
