To protest the peace agreement between the United States and the Mullah regime, around two dozen exiled Iranians from Luxembourg and Germany gathered outside the US embassy in Limpertsberg early on Wednesday afternoon. They were answering a protest call from Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Iranian Shah.
Pahlavi wanted to draw attention to the human rights situation in Iran. While the demonstrators say they are opposed to war in principle, they see no realistic path to a free Iran without military backing from the United States.
The Islamic regime had shown on several occasions that simply taking to the streets in protest achieved nothing, the initiator of the demonstration Reza Tamizkar told RTL. Between 8 and 9 January, he said, more than 40,000 people had been killed.
In January this year, the Iranian regime brutally crushed the largest wave of protests since the founding of the Islamic Republic.
