The City of Luxembourg wishes to inform the public that the elevator connecting Pfaffenthal to Ville Haute will be out of service from Monday 7 April at 9am until Tuesday 8 April 2025, inclusive, due to technical work and monthly maintenance work.
To stay up-to-date on the lift’s status, users can download the CityApp – VDL on their smartphone. This application provides real-time information on the lift’s operational status, including whether it is functioning, its usual operating hours, any temporary closures for maintenance work, or outages due to temporary technical issues.
Ordinarily the lift connecting Pfaffenthal to Ville Haute is open seven days a week between 5:45am and 1am.
Once a month the lift’s service is suspended in order that maintenance work can be carried out, as stipulated in the Grand-Ducal Regulation of October 25, 1999, relating to elevators.
