Shortly before midnight on Wednesday, a speeding driver lost control of his vehicle in Lamadelaine, crashing into two parked cars. His own vehicle was rolled onto its roof through the impact of the collision.

The driver, who was found to be heavily intoxicated, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital for further treatment. He had his licence revoked and a police report was drawn up after the discovery that the vehicle had not been insured.

The incident was attended by Esch-sur-Alzette paramedics and the Pétange fire service.

In Heinerscheid, two cars crashed into one another on the main road shortly before 7am on Thursday. One person suffered injuries as a result, receiving assistance from Clervaux emergency services.
