Police carried out speed checks at Ehlerange tunnel on the A13 towards Esch on Thursday morning. 21 drivers were caught speeding and one of them had to hand over their driver's license.

Several drivers were found to violate the current confinement rules. Others failed to present valid documents and/or used their phone behind the wheel.

A speeding driver caught the attention of a patrol in Dommeldange on Friday morning around 4am. He did not react kindly to being pulled over and started insulting the officers. A blood alcohol test came back positive. Police suspended his license and lodged a complaint.

Another man purposefully damaged a parked car on rue du Viaduc in Esch-sur-Alzette around 3am. Police were able to locate the suspect, who was highly intoxicated and behaving aggressively. He spent the rest of the night in a sobering-up cell.
