
Police officers in Esch-sur-Alzette observed instances of suspected drug dealing on Rue Zénon Bernard and Rue du Brill on Wednesday. They intercepted the buyer shortly afterwards, finding a small amount of hashish among his belongings. They later stopped the suspected seller and searched him, arresting him by order of the public prosecutor's office. A second person was also stopped and checked, with officers confiscating a number of cocaine packets. He was written up for drug possession and brought before a magistrate on Thursday.
A further arrest took place in Luxembourg City on Wednesday evening, after a man threatened another person at a bar on Rue des Capucins, stealing his gold necklace in the process. A physical altercation ensued, resulting in the thief's arrest. The stolen necklace was found and returned to its owner. The thief was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Thursday.
