Police in Luxembourg City deployed 15 officers and a narcotics dog in the Gare neighbourhood on Tuesday evening, resulting in two arrests for observed drug deals. Both suspects, presented before a magistrate Wednesday morning, were apprehended under orders from the public prosecutor’s office. Three additional individuals received fines for drug possession and weapons violations.
In an unrelated incident, officers in Esch-sur-Alzette intervened when an intoxicated person violated a restraining order, causing a disturbance in a residential entryway. The individual assaulted responding officers before being subdued, resulting in minor injuries to two police members. After a medical check-up, the individual was detained in custody at the police station. After being informed about the incident, the public prosecutor’s office ordered the arrest of the culprit, who appeared before an examining magistrate on Wednesday.
