Around 5.00 p.m. on Saturday, police were alerted to a car blocking a private driveway in the area of Esch-sur-Alzette. Since the owner was nowhere to be found and officers remained unable to reach them, they decided to tow the vehicle.
Shortly before 6.00 p.m., the owner suddenly arrived at the scene and tried driving his car away while ignoring the officers’ request to stop. He eventually touched the person who alerted the police as well as one of the officers with his car.
The police subsequently blocked the road with their vehicle to prevent the man from escaping. They then arrested the owner, who already had to face an examining magistrate the following morning.
