Drunk driver apprehendedDriver guilty of DUI and hit-and-run arrested

RTL Today
Police arrested a man who had hit a pedestrian on the pavement on Rue Gaffelt in Dudelange at around 5pm on Thursday 17 October.

The driver had fled immediately, without even attempting to see to his victim. Even upon entering Rue Gaffelt he had already nearly collided with another car. Fortunately the culprit was found soon after.

An alcohol test quickly established the man's inebriated state, and his licence was revoked immediately. His car was found in the school car park on Rue Gaffelt, having damaged another vehicle during the parking process.

Police also discovered that the man's technical control licence had expired in September. He was arrested and sent to the examining magistrate.
