While police were carrying out a series of road checks near Livange on Thursday evening, one individual attempted to bypass the roadblock.

Upon spotting the agents, the driver turned around and fled towards Bettembourg. The police estimated his speed to be 180 km/h.
The man eventually lost control of his vehicle and went off the road, crashing into a tree in front of a house. As if this was not enough, the man then tried to flee again on foot.

He was eventually caught by police, who discovered that he did not have a valid license and was carrying an airsoft gun in the vehicle.

Two people were with him in the car, including the owner of the vehicle. The latter was fined for letting his friend drive despite the absence of a license. No one was injured in the accident.
