Despite the close call, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, thanks to the prompt intervention of the police officers conducting a routine alcohol check on Friday night.
According to the police report, the near collision occurred during an alcohol check when the motorist almost crashed into a police car. Subsequently, the driver was intercepted, and a breathalyser test confirmed their inebriated state, surpassing the legal limit. Consequently, the officers were compelled to revoke the individual’s driving licence.
Two additional incidents of license withdrawal occurred on the same night in Luxembourg.
The first transpired in a Luxembourg City car park, where a driver, attempting to get back home, faced consequences for driving under the influence.
The second incident unfolded in Schifflange, where a driver drew attention by exceeding speed limits, leading to the withdrawal of their driving licence.
