At approximately 11.30pm on Monday, an accident occurred on Rue de Noertzange in Schifflange. A motorist lost control of their vehicle, crashing into two trees before coming to a stop in the middle of the roadway. The car was severely damaged, while the driver received treatment from paramedics at the scene. As part of standard protocol, a breathalyser test was administered, which returned a positive result. Consequently, the driver’s licence was revoked.
Shortly before midnight, a police patrol stopped a driver in Hollerich who appeared to be intoxicated. A subsequent breathalyser test confirmed the driver’s impairment. The police revoked the driver’s licence and issued a fine.
