General practitioner Dr Benoît Ochs, who became known for his anti-vaccination stance during the Covid pandemic, was initially suspended from practising, returning to work in March 2024.

He was accused of violating the code of ethics during the pandemic by the Medical Chamber’s disciplinary council, which requested a two-year suspension in March 2023, Many of the accusations were not upheld; however, Ochs’ statement that doctors who administered Covid vaccines to children were comparable to those sentenced at the Nuremberg Trials was deemed to have gone too far.

After the trial, the GP said he believed the problems began when public health and medicine became entangled, and that he now had to accept that public health was a matter of politics.
