Overnight into Saturday, police were alerted to a man in the Gare district who was bleeding from the head. At the scene, officers established that a fight had broken out between the victim and two acquaintances in front of an apartment building. The altercation left the victim seriously injured.
The two suspects were apprehended shortly afterwards and appeared before an examining magistrate on Saturday afternoon.
Necklace stolen in the Upper Town in Luxembourg City
Police also reported a theft in the city centre. According to initial information, the victim had just got off a bus when a man dropped a bouquet of flowers in front of them, supposedly to stop the victim in their tracks. The man then struck the victim in the chest, stole their necklace and fled. Police have launched an investigation.
