On Wednesday , Bissen's municipal council met to discuss a new mayor and aldermen's college. The previous leadership of the council had collapsed amidst disagreements concerning the proposed Google data centre.

Two CSV aldermen, Frank Clement and Carlo Mulbach, had resigned alongside former mayor Jos Schummer.

On Wednesday evening, the municipal council designated a new college.

Viaggi was elected mayor with ten votes for and one against. Roger Saurfeld was voted first alderman with six votes for and five abstentions. Ex-CSV municipal councillor Cindy Barros is the second alderman with seven votes for and four against.
