The rapes allegedly happened in Differdange, Uebersyren and the Philippines. The man had apparently used threats and violence to make this happen, leading to the daughters' attempt to get their father killed in May 2012.
The father claims that the accusations are lies, stating that he had done nothing wrong, and that the sexual relations with one of the girls were the result of a mutual agreement.
The responsible investigator from the judicial police says that he had first heard of the issue in October 2012, when said daughter had pressed charges. She said that she had been abused by her father for years: the first rape occurred in August 2006.
The girl, who had gotten pregnant twice and had abortions, had also tried to kill herself once. She also suspected that her father was abusing her two sisters, as one of them had alluded to it.
The mother knew about the abuse. Following a search of the family home in October 2012, the man had denied everything at the police station: he had never had an intimate relationship with his children. At the same time, the other two daughters talked of rapes, starting in 2008 and 2011 respectively, and the first daughter denied the existence of an agreement.
It was also revealed that the father had been shot at. The girls, who appeared credible, at first described the attempted murder of their father as pure fantasy, but would later admit to it.
A psychiatrist said that the man had admitted to a sexual relationship with the first daughter, starting in 2006, but that he had claimed to have been seduced and blackmailed by her. According to the accused, there had been no sexual relationship with the other two daughters.
The trial is scheduled to last four days.
