A car and a bicycle collided on the CR353 on Monday afternoon, requiring the deployment of a rescue helicopter and a temporary road closure, though the cyclist's injuries were said to be minor.

The accident was first reported to the ACL shortly before 4pm, with the CR353 having to be temporarily closed as a result.

Police confirmed that the crash took place on Monday afternoon between Brandenbourg and Grooljen in Vianden, where a car and a bicycle failed to pass each other safely.

The ACL first reported the incident shortly before 4pm. Rescue teams and police were dispatched to the scene, alongside the rescue helicopter, which was called in to attend to the cyclist. Police said, however, that the person on the bicycle had only suffered minor injuries. The road was reopened to traffic at around 4.25pm.
