
The accident was first reported to the ACL shortly before 4pm, with the CR353 having to be temporarily closed as a result.
Police confirmed that the crash took place on Monday afternoon between Brandenbourg and Grooljen in Vianden, where a car and a bicycle failed to pass each other safely.
The ACL first reported the incident shortly before 4pm. Rescue teams and police were dispatched to the scene, alongside the rescue helicopter, which was called in to attend to the cyclist. Police said, however, that the person on the bicycle had only suffered minor injuries. The road was reopened to traffic at around 4.25pm.
Then, at 4.44pm, an accident involving two cars occurred on the A6 motorway towards Arlon, at the slip road leading from the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette. Emergency services and the emergency medical service treated one injured person.
Finally, at 4.48pm, another accident involving a car and a cyclist occurred in Eich, on Rue d'Eich. Emergency services from the Luxembourg City and an ambulance from Findel were dispatched to the scene. One person was injured.
