A serious accident occurred on Tuesday evening between Stegen and Schieren, involving a collision between a cyclist and a passing motorist, as reported by the authorities.
The cyclist was hurled several metres through the air due to the impact and sustained serious injuries. The victim received first aid at the scene before being airlifted to hospital by Air Rescue.
The emergency services also reported two other traffic accidents.
Two cars collided in Grevenmacher at around 4.50pm, leaving one person injured. The ambulance from Mertert was at the scene.
Two people were injured in another collision between two cars in Keiwelbach at around 5.12pm. The ambulances from Larochette and Nordstad were on site.
