
Shortly before 11am on Thursday morning, a cyclist collided with an excavator on Boxepull in Steinfort. The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital via the Air Rescue helicopter. Ambulances from the capital were joined by Steinfort fire service at the scene of the incident.
Three traffic collisions were reported elsewhere on Thursday morning, leaving four people injured. Two cars collided in Neudorf shortly before 8am, with two people hurt in the process. Another person was injured in a crash in Strassen at 8.25am, while a fourth suffered injuries in a collision shortly after 9am on the A6 near Bridel.
On Wednesday evening, four cars were embroiled in a crash at around 7.20pm on the A3 near the French border. One person was hurt and attended to by Samu paramedics, with the accident causing much material damage.
